At the Crossroads

Scorpio New Moon · November · Shadow · Power · Renewal

In the long night of late autumn, the earth dreams us forward.

The Beaver Moon -this November New Moon in Scorpio-is an invitation to be reshaped by that dreaming. To become the version of you your soul has been patiently carving.

You’re standing at a crossroads right now. Can you feel it?

That humming uncertainty, the weight of choices not yet made, the gentle pull of something new calling you forward while the familiar still holds you close.

This is sacred ground.

A Moon That Remakes You

At Samhain’s edge, the world breathes inward. The Beaver New Moon carries that same magic. The doorway between the seen and unseen is thin, and you get to choose which part of you walks through.

With Mercury also retrograde in Scorpio, this isn’t just a time of forward momentum; it’s a sacred pause. A moment to revisit, to reflect, to excavate what’s been buried and bring it into the light of your awareness.

The Magic of In-Between

Crossroads are so much more than physical intersections where one path meets another. They are the invisible meeting points of our soul. Where intuition, logic, fear, and hope all sit down at the same table and wait for us to decide which direction to move.

In nearly every tradition across time, crossroads were considered holy. Places where the veil between worlds thinned, where spirits might linger, and where choices carried more weight.

To the ancient Greeks, Hecate stood at these very crossroads: the goddess of thresholds, holding her torches to light the way. But she didn’t tell travelers which road to take. She illuminated the space in-between, so they could choose with awareness.

Hecate isn’t the goddess of outcomes.

She is the guardian of possibilities.

She watches over that delicate place where endings bleed into beginnings, where grief and excitement coexist, and where uncertainty hums like a living spell. She doesn’t rush us. She simply waits, with her lantern held high, reminding us that liminal spaces – those “in-between” places- are not to be feared, but honored.

When the Inner World Speaks

When the veil thins, your inner world gets louder. The Scorpio New Moon amplifies it. Listen closely—the guidance you’ve been seeking is whispering from within.

As November teaches us to quiet ourselves again, the Beaver New Moon invites a long exhale. What’s falling away now is simply clearing space for what is ready to rise.

This moment asks for stillness, not force. Truth over performance. Depth over distraction.

Let the moon pull you inward. The seeds you plant here ,in silence, in shadow, will outgrow anything you build from fear.

We begin in the dark for a reason.

Creation stirs before it shows itself.

The Hidden Work of Becoming

Trust that what you’re calling in under this moon is already forming, even if the surface looks still.

Clarity doesn’t come from pushing. Scorpio teaches stillness; the moment you drop into your body and feel the truth that’s been waiting, steady and patient.

If you’re feeling reflective, emotional, cracked open, or a little lost; you’re not off track. You’re right on time.

This New Moon asks one thing: tell the truth to yourself first. Speak what you’ve never said aloud.

Scorpio digs up the old contracts you’ve outgrown, the walls you keep running into. Face what’s true. Walk with your shadows. Release what you’re done carrying.

You don’t need to rush or have a plan. Just be here. Breathe. Listen.

Something in you is already shifting beneath the surface, in a steady, patient, real sort of way. Allow it to flow, because if you do, you’ll rise with a clarity only the dark can teach.

Every healing begins in the dark,

every transformation with a pause.

Rebirth doesn’t need to be dramatic, but it does need to be transparent and honest.

Let go of the old. Choose what’s new. Trust that what you’re calling in is already forming, even if the surface looks still.

You’re supported every step of the way.

‘You Must Believe In Spring…’

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom” Anais Nin. The Cycle begins again… Birth. Emergence. Becoming. Newness. Freshness. Blooming. Budding. Moving. Ascending.
For many decades now, I have come to live in harmony with natures seasonal changes and create rituals around them. I suppose my interest started at first as a child because I was always very observant to nature and what was happening in my outside world. Now, even the years that I am not quite as attentive, I still feel a buzzing in my body come late March that continues through to June. To me this sensation is spring….
….Think of the sort of “anger” one has when playing a sport, or the “anger” one has when playing a game, or the burning sensation that one might feel when a highly valued project or endeavor hits an avalanche of an obstacle. It’s the sensation of being so alive and so on fire that only a blood curdling cry can truly demonstrate the depth (like the NZ Maori’s war dance, the Haka). It’s that kind of anger that runs rampant during these spring months. If this anger is felt and understood and then, most importantly, let go of, it is useful in allowing us to forge ahead. It gives us resilience and strength despite our possible uphill battles. However, if this anger is nurtured and feed, it can become a noose around our necks and follow us everywhere we go. Not relinquishing its hold can poison even the most tender of moments, even the sweetest of relationships…..

You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling

“Intimacy is being seen and known as the person you truly are.” Amy Bloom

Ever want that connection… but not THAT connection? And, doesn’t that sound so much more than sexy Victoria’s Secret lingerie? I mean, there’s nothing wrong with sexy, but sex and intimacy aren’t necessarily interdependent. And, for many people, it’s harder to be intimate WITHOUT the sexy part than WITH the sexy part. When the “private part” is one’s own vulnerability the stakes are higher than when the clothing comes off. It’s no wonder, then, that true intimacy is somewhat of a rarity.

After all, it’s hard to open up and allow someone else to see your tender underbelly. It’s frightening and creates anxiety; it brings up all kinds of stuff. However, if we can’t go “there”, the other stuff is just a roll in the hay which may be fun in the moment or a whole lot of regret down the road.

Love and Happiness

…and left me alone in our hotel room. That is when the anxiety got really strong. “Oh shit. What have I done? My world is caving in and I have LOST all control”… I felt my breath shrink and then quicken, and my heart pound…. I sat down on the bed and looked at the duffel bag that housed some of our clothes and toiletries. I noticed one of the books from that book club peering out of the open zipper as if to say, “Here I am, help is here”.
