Understanding Intuition
Intuition, often referred to as our ‘gut feeling’, is a powerful tool we all possess. This secret superpower helps us navigate life’s twists and turns, guiding us towards choices that just feel right. But how do we sharpen this innate talent and use it to our advantage? Let’s take a deep dive into the mysteries of intuition and discover how to harness this epic skill in our everyday lives.
Strengthening Your Intuition
Strengthening your intuition is like tuning a radio to the right frequency; it requires practice and patience. Start by building a relationship with your intuition using what you already know brings you joy. Hold an object close to your heart, one that you know supports you, and ask your intuition if this object indeed brings you happiness. Listen for a YES or a NO. It sounds simple, yet it is a powerful exercise to tune into your inner voice. Make it a habit to journal how you felt during this process. This practice helps to create a baseline of how it feels when your intuition speaks.
Repeat this exercise a few times a day until the voice of your intuition is clear and strong. Remember, this is not a one-time activity. The more you practice, the more refined your intuitive skills become.
Expanding Your Intuitive Practice
After a week or two of this exercise, start expanding your practice. Begin asking your intuition about something else, something you are unsure of but has little consequence. Stick to YES or NO formatted questions. For example, “Should I have tea or water?” or “Should I bring my purple sweater on my trip?” This practice not only helps to hone your intuitive skills but also assists in making daily decisions.
After a few weeks or a month of this practice, you can start asking bigger and bigger questions. By this time, the answers from your intuition should be clear. If they are not, there’s no need to rush. Hold off and ask at another time, or reword the question. Make your questions as specific as possible to get clearer answers.
Mastering Intuition
Once your intuition starts communicating regularly with you, it’s time to answer more open-ended questions. This step will help you understand the depth and breadth of your intuitive wisdom. Keep a journal of what you hear and keep track of your outcomes. This practice will not only strengthen your intuition but also boost your confidence in your intuitive abilities.
Remember, intuition is a personal journey.Your intuition is a personal adventure, a quest to trust your inner voice and wisdom. It’s time to ditch the need for outside approval and trust the process. Embrace the power within, and take the adventure of unlocking your intuition 🙂

Surrender, Surrender But Don’t Give Yourself Away…
We both started to panic. I was probably the weaker swimmer, but my friend was a bit further out then I. She started to yell for me,” Can you come and help me?!?” As I looked back, I realized I was using all my strength just to stay put, my heart started racing and I started to panic, as she clearly was as well.
I yelled to her to just go with the tide and I would try and get help… We both were literally in over our heads.
Love and Happiness
…and left me alone in our hotel room. That is when the anxiety got really strong. “Oh shit. What have I done? My world is caving in and I have LOST all control”… I felt my breath shrink and then quicken, and my heart pound…. I sat down on the bed and looked at the duffel bag that housed some of our clothes and toiletries. I noticed one of the books from that book club peering out of the open zipper as if to say, “Here I am, help is here”.
“Every Breath you Take” How to get the “ahh” in meditation….
The body makes us VERY aware of our present moment. These thoughts (or the mind chatter) are anchored in two places: either in the past (“ did I remember that?”, “ why didn’t so-and-so say hello to me at the grocery store”) or in the future (“if I don’t get this done I won’t have time for…”, “my 10,20, 30 year reunion is coming up, what should I wear? what will so and so look like, etc.”). In very VERY few moments of our day are we actually aware of the present moment; are we focused on the here-and-now to the exclusion of all else.
