Living Better. Living well. It begins with the exhale ~”Ahh”
“Walking, I am listening to a deeper way. Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.” Linda Hogan (Chickasaw poet and environmentalist)
Hi love,
What if I told you the most sacred spiritual practice isn’t tucked inside a book, a class, or a guru’s words?
It’s in the wind.
In the trees.
In your body.
In the dirt under your feet.
It’s in the stillness that speaks when everything else is loud.
Self-trust.
Not the kind that floats in your head, but the kind that hums low in your bones. The kind that rises up from the Earth and says, you’re already held.
The kind that reminds you: your body knows. Your soul remembers. You are part of it all: nature, the cosmos, the whole damn thing.
I’ve been sitting with this lately…
And it brought me back to a past life regression I did a few years ago—one that is still fells like more than a memory.
In that life, I returned as an Indigenous male warrior in the Appalachian Mountains. I was strong, a leader: clear in my mission and filled with strong sense of purpose… but I wasn’t at peace with myself.
One day, the village elder called for me.
Without a word, he led me deep into the forest.
There was no talking—just the stillness of the earth and the sound of our footsteps on the leaves.
After a long silence, he finally spoke:
“You’ve trained to defend the earth. But have you learned how to listen to her?”
I was stunned. I had always loved the land—its beauty, its power, its gifts. But listening? Had I really been listening?
In that moment, I felt a recognition rise in me, something I’d always known but never fully understood:
The heartbeat of the earth.
The sacred rhythm of the seasons.
The quiet wisdom held within the stillness.
That’s where healing begins. Not in fixing or forcing—but in remembering.
In letting go of the noise long enough to hear the truth that is pulsing in our bones.
Healing happens when we stop reaching outside of ourselves and start honoring what lives within us.
When we stop resisting the wound and start opening up to its wisdom.
When we listen; not just with our minds- but with our bodies…
We are not separate.
We are the land.
We are Gaia.
We are each other.
The elder’s words have stayed with me.
And this, I’ve come to know:
When we quiet the noise and drop into that deep, rooted remembering, we don’t have to force the next step.
We feel it.
We trust it.
We let the body lead.
The more we attune to the rhythm- the breath of the trees, the turn of the seasons—the more we walk in harmony with something as old and as wise as time itself.
A knowing that says: This way.
And that… is how the soul remembers.
Because the most sacred spiritual practice isn’t something you find….It’s something you remember.
It lives in your body- rooted like an oak, unshakable as granite, and buried deep in our cells.
You don’t have to chase it.
It’s already there, waiting.
And when you finally drop in, your body exhales.
It remembers.
It trusts.
That’s the power of it—
Reconnection.
To earth.
To Spirit.
To the healing within.
So as summer whispers and the moon grows, the heart opens.
Space softens in the body.
Memory returns.
And with it, deep healing.
Sometimes, that awakening just needs a spark:
A walk in the forest…
A sacred gathering…
A ritual with cacao…
…heart medicine that helps us remember who we are and what we belong to.
On Thursday, June 6th, I’m hosting our Second Annual Cacao Ceremony in Smithtown…
A sacred space to sip, soften, and awaken to the medicine of the season.

If your soul is stirring, trust it. Let it say yes. (For More Details…)
With love,
Shana
