Living Better. Living well. It begins with the exhale ~”Ahh”

Hello Friend,

“I recognized winter. I saw it coming (a mile off, since you ask), and I looked it in the eye. I greeted it and let it in. I had some tricks up my sleeve, you see. I’ve learned them the hard way. When I started feeling the drag of winter, I began to treat myself like a favored child: with kindness and love. I assumed my needs were reasonable and that my feelings were signals of something important. I kept myself well fed and made sure I was getting enough sleep. I took myself for walks in the fresh air and spent time doing things that soothed me. I asked myself: What is this winter all about? I asked myself: What change is coming.”

Katherine May, ‘Wintering’

Winter is a season of comfort and home. It’s a time for good food, warmth, and friendly conversation. But it’s also a magnificent opportunity for self-care and spiritual growth, especially for empaths like us. I wanted to share with you some thoughts and activities that can help us to truly embrace this season and manifest our desires.

With its chilly and occasionally somber atmosphere, winter offers a unique opportunity for introspection and personal growth. It serves as a blank canvas upon which we can delve into our inner selves and nurture our aspirations. Amidst the tranquility of the winter season, we sow the seeds of transformation, paving the way for our blossoming when the sun’s warmth returns.

Here are my top 10 recommendations for winter activities that will invigorate and nourish your soul:

Engage in energy cleansing rituals like smudging, salt baths, or crystal cleansing to promote balance.
Invest in emotional detox through meditation, journaling, or therapy.
Connect with nature despite the cold. Spend time outdoors or bring nature indoors with plants and natural decor.
Explore holistic healing practices like Reiki , past life regression or sound therapy.
Cultivate and manifest your desires by spending time envisioning outcomes and using visualization or manifestation practices.
Consider a silent retreat for deep introspection and spiritual renewal.
Express yourself creatively through art therapy, writing, or music.
Practice mindful movement forms like Tai Chi or restorative yoga.
Create nurturing daily rituals like morning affirmations or gratitude practices.
Join nurturing soul-lead groups to connect, share experiences and cultivate a collective environment for manifesting desires.
These activities can provide a nurturing space during winter, fostering rest, self-care, spiritual growth, and a focus on cultivating desires for the forthcoming seasons. As winter envelopes us, these nurturing activities can serve as a guiding light, illuminating a path toward inner harmony and growth.
